Burnside Vineyard Chardonnay
Located close to the coast with views of the Indian Ocean, the name Burnside has its origins in Ireland where it means one who lives by a burn or stream. The fruit is from the Hazel's vineyard which is McHenry Hohnen's southernmost vineyard.
Available Vintages 2019
Other vintages 2017 2016 2015 2014 2012
Tasting note Aromas of pink grapefruit, melon and nectarine give way to nuances of Jasmine tea and natural ferment complexity. The palate combines power and grace with light brioche dough and lemon curd framed by a core of creamy acidity and an oyster shell-like minerality. Generous in both flavour and acidity, the uniqueness of this wine captures Burnside’s personality.
