Burnside Vineyard Chardonnay
The property was purchased in 1976, at the time a run-down farm on the sharpest bend of the Margaret River. Located close to the coast with views of the Indian Ocean, the name Burnside has its origins in Ireland where it means one who lives by a burn or stream. Vineyard management embraces sustainable 'old school' practices that mark a return to methods used before the development of industrial agriculture.
Available Vintages 2019
Other vintages 2017 2016 2015 2014 2012
Tasting note Aromas of ripe peach give way to nuances of fresh pineapple and light brioche dough. The palate is multi-layered with ripe peach, crème caramel and underlying natural ferment characters. Textural layers are supported by persistent mineral acidity, combining power and grace.
