The grapes (28.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28.5% Malbec, 28.5% Merlot and 14.5% Petit Verdot) are from the clay and ironstone pebbly soils prevalent on the McHenry Hohnen Vineyards south of Margaret River. With a northerly aspect, the vines enjoy long days of sunshine, moderated by the vineyard's southern location. Vineyard management embraces sustainable 'old school' practices following biodynamic principles. | |

Tasting note |
An intense and fragrant mix of black jube, sweetened cranberry and black olives, with underlying after dinner mint and sweet spices. A silken entry reveals a multi-layered palate brimming with blackcurrant and crushed violet fruits, overlaying a dense mocha and sweet soy mid palate.
