Rolling Stone
The grapes (28.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28.5% Malbec, 28.5% Merlot and 14.5% Petit Verdot) are from the clay and ironstone pebbly soils prevalent on the McHenry Hohnen Vineyards south of Margaret River. With a northerly aspect, the vines enjoy long days of sunshine, moderated by the vineyard's southern location. Vineyard management embraces sustainable 'old school' practices following biodynamic principles.
Available Vintages 2017 2014 2013
Other vintages 2012 2011 2010 2009
Tasting note An intense and fragrant mix of black jube, sweetened cranberry and black olives, with underlying after dinner mint and sweet spices. A silken entry reveals a multi-layered palate brimming with blackcurrant and crushed violet fruits, overlaying a dense mocha and sweet soy mid palate.
