Tasting note |
Classic Chablis aromas of flint with citrus and orchard fruit characters. The palate is dry with balanced acidity and rounded, textural mouth feel. The wine finishes with a long, slightly salty mineral finish.

Awards and Accolades |
Richard Hemming, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5+ points...has proper, ripe, broad green fruit and a chewy texture with lots of focus on the finish. Good. Gold medal - International Wine Challenge 2012Mineral rich with spicy reductive lees notes and eye watering intensity and a mineral packed palate. Very young, will age superbly. David Williams' Christmas Wines, The Observer, 18 Nov 2012A lot of chablis can be overpriced and dull, trading on its name rather than what's in the bottle. But this multiple award-winner, from a "premier cru" site, really delivers on what the trademark promises: mouthwatering steely-mineral acidity, intense apple and lemon fruit and an evocative crack of flintiness. Charles Metcalfe, Waitrose Kitchen, November 2012Christmas Lunch whites: What more could you want to partner a plate of smoked salmon, a dozen oysters or whatever else appeals before you attack the turkey? (It’ll be delicious with that as well). This shows all the chalky intensity of great Chablis with a whiff of smoke and a hint of toasty concentration (and if you buy a case it will age brilliantly). |
