The Rocky Road vineyard on McHenry Hohnen’s estate is named after the laterite coffee rocks that line the vineyard. The Mediterranean climate and gravel soils are perfectly suited to classic French varieties with gravel soils and a maritime influence that exert the vines just enough.
The wines produced reflect Margaret River's strong suit of Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties.
Winemaking is handled by Jacopo Dalli Cani. Jacopo’s philosophy for winemaking closely aligns with McHenry Hohnen’s methodology of natural winemaking and minimal intervention, following organic and biodynamic principles.
