Laterite Hills Chardonnay
This wine is a blend of the three vineyards owned by McHenry Hohnen; Calgardup Brook, Hazel's, Burnside and Chapman Vineyards. Laterite soils are the common feature of all. Lateritic soils are some of the oldest soils on the planet. They encourage the vine roots to explore deep to find water and nutrients and be self-sufficient.
Available Vintages 2022
Other vintages 2020 2017
Tasting note The nose is dominated by nectarine and beeswax that leap from the glass, accompanied by a light ginger note. Mouth filling white peach and pink grapefruit give way to a roasted almond mid palate. The acidity is creamy but balanced.
