The Latour family has owned a portion of Romanée-Saint-Vivant since 1898. The original purchase consisted of four Journaux of vines, an ancient Burgundian measurement corresponding to the area a vigneron could till in a day (0,8 ha). Only a narrow and rutted lane separates this vineyard from Romanée-Conti. It is wonderfully flavourful with a velvety texture that culminates in a persistent, perfumed finish. One of the world’s greatest red wines. | |
