| The Latour family has owned a portion of Romanée-Saint-Vivant since 1898. The original purchase consisted of four Journaux of vines, an ancient Burgundian measurement corresponding to the area a vigneron could till in a day (0,8 ha). Only a narrow and rutted lane separates this vineyard from Romanée-Conti. It is wonderfully flavourful with a velvety texture that culminates in a persistent, perfumed finish. The beautiful deep red colour of the wine gives way to aromas of blackberry and liquorice. Tannins, fruit and vanilla notes are melted together into a well-structured and harmonious wine which lingers deliciously in your mouth.
