Situated about 10 Km from Dijon, Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the first viticultural villages of the Côte de Nuits. The vineyards are only planted with Pinot Noir and range from the premier crus in the north of the village and the Grand Crus in the South with the village appellations grouped towards the bottom of the slope. The sparse and pebbly limestone-rich, brown-red soils give Gevrey-Chambertin wines their power and body. | |

Tasting note |
The Gevrey-Chambertin 2011 has a deep ruby red colour. It has peppery aromas of cherry and liquorice. In the mouth, the wine is ample with notes of blackcurrant and sap and the tannins are lovely and persistent.

90 points, Wine Spectator, 30 April 2016A ripe style, revealing kirsch, raspberry and plum fruit, accented by earth and tobacco notes. Firm tannins leave their grip on the moderately long finish. Vibrant, but needs time. |
