CELEBRIS Vintage
This Cuvée, created in 1993, is the culmination of Gosset style and immediately joined other high-end champagnes in its class. 2004 is an incredibly complex and balanced vintage' comments Odilon de Varine. The famous CELEBRIS bottle is an exact replica of an antique bottle dating back to the 18th century.
Available Vintages 2012

Tasting note An opulent appearance, bright pale gold with emerald green highlights. The bubbles are fine and rise in a thin and persistent ribbon. The nose has ripe aromas of frangipane, Tarte Tatin, honey or salted butter caramel refreshed by scents of pear, pineapple and even citrus fruits such as the kaffir lime or citrus limetta. The palate is open and flawless with salty notes followed by complex aromas reminiscent of pear, grapefruit and yuzu.

Awards and Accolades

93 points, Decanter, Michael Edwards, 19th Oct. 2016

Pale straw green colour with a flowing, persistent small bubbled mousse. The nose is tight and contained, although with air it develops more complexity, with aromas of toasted bread, spiced lemon and quince. Although still taut, there’s a real core of mineral rich, deep flavours that promise well for long aging.

94pts, The World of Fine Wine, Nov. 2016

Pure, discreet, pale straw-green, an admirably youthful appearance for a 12-year-old. The nose at first is tight and coiled but of citrus promise. And with air, so it proves, as the wine opens up to give scents of toasted cereal bread and spiced apple. Finely balanced flavors confirm the nose, yet the non-malo winemaking gives an extra thrust of tension and energy in harmony with a latent undertow of slowly expanding vinosity and great elegance.

Giles Fallowfield, Champagne GURU, 2nd Nov. 2016

'...I found the 2004 surprisingly open (for Celebris) and approachable, as this vintage seems to have been for many producers, with complex floral notes and a texturally rich palate with hints of orange marmalade and some tarte Tatin notes...'

97 points, Gilbert & Gaillard, Autumn 2017

'Fairly deep golden hue. The nose is elegant yet very intense with toast and pastry tones. The palate is full and lush which gives it instant charm with faultless freshness underpinning the whole. Art at its finest.'
