Wakefield Wines multi-medal winning 2014 Estate Shiraz has triumphed at the prestigious Great Australian Shiraz Challenge receiving both the Trophy for Best Australian Shiraz and Trophy for Best Shiraz under $25. It was awarded 19.5 points, the highest score in the competition’s history.
Now in its 21st year, the Great Australian Shiraz Challenge has become Australia’s most prominent and valuable single class wine competition. Wines entered are classed and tasted based on climate and regional points of difference, this ensures all entries are judged fairly and objectively.
2014 Wakefield Estate Shiraz is the most awarded wine in the history of the Estate range and also won the Best Shiraz Trophy at the Perth Royal Wine Show.
