New: Viu Manent Chilean wines

We're very happy to have added our first South American wines to the Louis Latour Agencies portfolio. Viu Manent is a highly respected Chilean wine producer with a long history dating back to 1935. We will be attending the Wines of Chile annual tasting in London on the 7th September 2011 and look forward to tasting the wines with you.

Viu Manent's vineyards are located in Colchagua within the Rapel Valley south of Santiago an area well known for its high quality wines. The Viu Manent range contains Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot and Carménère, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier. They have have 260 hectares under vine in three distinct locations including some of the areas oldest vineyards.

Viu Manent's winemaking philosophy centres on an unceasing search for quality and a desire to produce wines that communicate their origin. This leads them to work with the utmost respect for their wines and the environment in both the vineyard and winery. In addition they have implemented Carbon Neutrality for the delivery of their wines with CEMARS* certification and now use lighter weight glass bottles for their Reserva, Gran Reserva and Secret wines.

In 2010 Viu Manent were the most awarded Chilean Winery ranked by Vitis magazine who publish am annual list of wineries who have won the most Gold medals in Major International Competitions. For more information visit the Viu Manent website
