Beaujolais Cru specialist Henry Fessy have released a new wine, Gamay Noir. This Vin de France takes the knowledge and experience gained from having one of the most geographically extensive domains in the region.
Gamay Noir is main grape variety planted in Beaujolais and Henry Fessy’s vines are planted on pink schistous granite. This grape is naturally fruity and gives elegant and balanced wines. Henry Fessy’s Gamay Noir 2016 is deep ruby in colour. The nose is dominated by fresh red fruits with some subtle spicy notes. The palate is light bodied but concentrated, dominated by strawberry, raspberry and red cherry. The fresh acidity and soft tannins are well balanced by the concentration of fruit.
The label design features an owl; this bird of prey was reintroduced into the vineyards to help protect the vines from pests and rodents.
This wine is only available on an ex-cellar basis, please speak to your account manager for more information or call the office on 020 7409 7276.
