Les Pierres Dorées is an exciting project which has seen Latour recognise the potential for the Pinot Noir vines in a region that has traditionally been planted with Gamay. Located north-west of Lyon, the Pièrres Dorées lies on undulating hillsides amongst 39 villages. The area's name comes from the golden ochre coloured stone that is visible throughout the landscape. The Pierres Dorée clay and limestone soils are very similar to those found in Burgundy. They are composed of a crinodial limestone, marl from the Early Jurassic period and a clay-limestone mix. This very specific terroir allows the Pinot Noir to reveal all its elegance and richness. | |

Tasting note |
On the nose is a blend of flowers, red berries and soft spices. On the palate, it is crunchy, round and ample. The Pinot Noir from the Pierres Dorées terroir offers freshness underlined by concentrated black fruits aromas with a superb length.
