Nuits Saint Georges is the most southerly village in the Côte de Nuits. The village was originally called Nuits but added Saint Georges, the name of one of its finest vineyards, in the 19th century. There are no Grand Crus in this village. The wines tend to be firm and usually benefit from a few years ageing. | |

Tasting note |
The Nuits-Saint-Georges 2011 is of an intense, deep and rubis colour. The aromas of red fruit, raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant, are powerful. The nose is intense revealing under-woody aromas. The wine offers a round structure with silky tannins. On the finish, cherry stone notes are detected.
