Fixin (pronounced 'Fissin') is situated in the Côte de Nuits region between Dijon and Gevrey-Chambertin. The appellation received official recognition in 1936 and produces both appellations Village and Premier Cru. Brilliant deep purple in colour. This wine reveals blackcurrant aromas with notes of mocha and spices. The palate is rich with fine and silky tannins. It is fresh and persistent on the finish.
