Tasting note |
This Fleurie has a very pleasant bouquet of red fruits mixed with floral tones. In the mouth the red fruit is rich and concentrated backed with a persistent finish.

Will Lyons, Wall Street Journal Europe, 14 June 2013This Beaujolais fills the glass with a dark cherry color. The nose is immediate, with strong aromatics of ripe red fruits, a touch of cinnamon and some rose petal. But let’s not get carried away. This is good summer drinking. Jewish Telegraph, 31 May 2013Beaujolais is big on summer flowers and fruit. It’s a versatile wine which will go with virtually anything grilled or roasted – meat, fish or poultry and definitely cheese. Great for the barbecue. Herald Express (Torquay)This absolutely absolutely stunning red hails from the Fleurie - Cru du Beaujolais [...] This is a beautifully smooth and rich red wine with floral finesse and finery. A delicate, rounded, very fruity wine with an elegant bouquet which should please connoisseurs and casual drinkers. I thoroughly enjoyed this little gem with a nice beef roast. Lovely. Simon Woods, simonwoods.com, 8 August 2013Really attractive style, starts off quietly then opens up in the glass to show plusher raspberry, cherry and plum flesh, but all the while with an earthy mineral undercurrent to keep it fresh. Richard Marsden Profile (Sheffield) August 2013, A bumper crop of summer wines to refresh the palate.... a floral and creamy aroma is followed by a smooth palate with layered depth. Flavours are of plum and blackcurrant and there is good length along with slight pepperiness and effervescence. |
