Cru Heretaunga Chardonnay
Hawke's Bay (Heretaunga in Maori) is the birthplace of Smith & Sheth. It is located on the southern borders of the warm Bridge Pa appellation. The grapes are sourced from private growers as well as Smith & Sheth own estates (Bridge Pa, Omahu and Mangatahi). All on gravelly soils, these vineyards have a long history of producing exceptional wines that truly represent the potential of Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay.
Available Vintages 2019
Other vintages 2018
Tasting note A fresh pale straw colour wine with some green tinges. On the palate it is fruit driven yet complex. Fresh acidity balanced by a creamy, lingering texture.
