Stellenbosch wine region is located in the Western Cape by the historic town of Stellenbosch. It is one of South Africa's most established wine growing regions and sought after for its mountainous terrain, varied, deep soils and plentiful rainfall.
The region is divided into several sub-regions and Morgenhof is located within Simonsberg-Stellenbosch, which is known for its high quality, ageworthy reds. Here the vineyards are dominated by the Simonsberg Mountain which lies between Stellenbosch and Paarl.
